DTEK has restored electricity to 1,000 families yesterday despite hostilities in the region
Over the course of the past 24 hours, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to 5 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 1,000 families of Donetsk region residents in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts.
332 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where shelling frequently causes damage to equipment and power lines. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
However, the situation with hostilities in the north of the Donetsk region becomes more complicated every day, thus increasing the risk of power outages due to damage of the grids or shutdown of some energy enterprises.
DTEK together with all services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents. About 20 DTEK crews are working every day to ensure stable power supply. However, shelling of the territory continues frequently damaging infrastructure of the grids.
