DTEK restored power to almost 5,000 families in 4 settlements of the Donetsk region
Despite very active hostilities in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to perform repairs in 4 settlements of the region, thus restoring electricity to 4,945 families in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts. The majority – in the Bakhmut district.
Constant shelling is underway in the Donetsk region. Nevertheless, in less than 24 hours energy workers managed to restore power to 4,300 families near Toretsk and Bakhmut, where the enemy frequently strikes with artillery and missiles.
Hostilities are underway and we ask residents to treat power supply issues with understanding, as constant shelling leads to large-scale damage. Unfortunately, shelling of territories continues, causing damage to infrastructure of the grids and shutdown of energy enterprises.
321 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 113 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents.
