DTEK brings back light: power has been restored to 10,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the course of a week

From January 9 to 15, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored electricity to homes of more than 10,000 families in 22 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region, left without power supply due to shelling. Our specialists commence work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

Last week, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have restored operation of grids for 10,000 families in 22 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Most of these settlements suffer from constant russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to regularly repair damaged lines and restore electricity.

DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists conduct work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and State Emergency Service.

Since the beginning of a full-scale war with rf, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to more than 799,000 households. Some homes required restoration of electricity on dozens occasions due to terrorist attacks.

After a series of russia’s missile strikes the situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains difficult. Significant power shortage causes daily power outages throughout the country. Therefore, we ask to treat electricity consumption responsibly – after outages, switch on energy-consuming appliance in turn and minimize electricity consumption.
