DTEK brings back light: power has been restored to 27,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the course of a week

From December 19 to 25, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored electricity to homes of 27,000 families in 24 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region, left without power supply due to shelling. Our specialists commence work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

Last week, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have restored operation of grids for 27,000 families in 24 settlements in the southern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Due to close proximity to the war zone, most of these settlements regularly suffer from russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to repair damaged lines and restore electricity almost every day.

DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists conduct work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and Emergency Service.

Since the beginning of a full-scale war with rf, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to more than 784,000 households. Some homes required restoration of electricity on multiple occasions due to regular enemy attacks.

After a series of russia’s missile strikes the situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains difficult. Significant power shortage causes daily power outages throughout the country.
