DTEK brings back light: power has been restored to 3,300 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region over the course of a New Year’s week
During the week before New Year and the New Year holidays, DTEK emergency crews have restored operation of grids for 3,342 families in 16 settlements in the southern part of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Due to close proximity to the war zone, most of these settlements suffer from constant russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to regularly repair damaged lines and restore electricity.
DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists conduct work immediately after obtaining a permit from the AFU and Emergency Service.
Since the beginning of a full-scale war with rf, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to more than 787,000 households. Some homes required restoration of electricity on dozens occasions due to regular enemy attacks.
After a series of russia’s missile strikes the situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains difficult. Significant power shortage causes daily power outages throughout the country. Therefore, we ask to treat electricity consumption responsibly – after outages, switch on energy-consuming appliance in turn and minimize electricity consumption.
