Any student from the Tarashchansky Technical and Economic and Legal College, Polesie National University (Zhitomir), Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Nemishaivsky Professional College of NUBiP of Ukraine, National University of Bioresources and Environmental Management of Ukraine and Kyiv Electromechanical Professional college can enroll to the program. The company is at the final stage of signing a partnership agreement with the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky". Thanks to this cooperation, students of the specialized faculties of these educational institutions could start building their own careers in the energy sector, combining study and work.

DTEK is a reliable and conscious company that cares about the future of Ukraine and supports talented youth. 11 students are already working and studying in our company thanks to dual training in academic year 2020/21. They are employed, get paid, have overalls, labor tools and medical insurance. At the end of June, we will invite the best students to become part of our team on a permanent basis,” says Vitaliy Shaida, CEO at DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

The main advantages of dual education are that it provides 60% of practical training in the enterprise and 40% of theory in the educational facility. The program is based on the consolidation of the acquired knowledge in production conditions. Dual education prepares future employees according to the needs of the employer. After graduation, students are adapted and can work with the equipment of a particular enterprise. Dmitry Vichuzhanin is one of the graduates of the dual program at DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, who successfully completed his training and has been working for the company for nine months.

I have been studying and working in the company since August 2020 as an electrician for the operation of the distribution networks of the networks inspection center. I work for 14 days; at other times I have my studies. I do routine and unscheduled inspections of electrical networks, and therefore they are maintained on time. However, at first there were classes in the training center, I had to study additionally for several months to pass the exams, get a permit group and permission to work independently in electrical installations. In my opinion, such a program provides an excellent chance to gain valuable experience and the opportunity to build your own career in the energy sector, combining study and work at a well-known enterprise,” says Dmitry Vichuzhanin, electrician for the operation of distribution networks at DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
