DTEK has made sure that schools in Dnipropetrovsk Region have electricity during External Independent Testing
The company’s power engineers inspected the reliability of electrical equipment and wires at more than 70 schools, vocational schools, and colleges in Dnipro that will host External Independent Testing. Another 30 schools were inspected in Kryvyi Rih, and 13 — in Kamianske. Further 7 schools in Nikopol and Pavlohrad each, and 4 schools in Novomoskovsk were prepared for tests. Educational institutions in Zhovti Vody, Pershotravensk, Marhanets, and Synelnikovo are also ready.
‘DTEK is a reliable social partner and dedicates its efforts to creating an environment where schools graduates can sit their final exams in maximum comfort. We have already inspected the technical condition of electrical equipment in all 142 education institutions of the region. We have strengthened electrical cables and equipment in all places where it was necessary. We have also reviewed our planned repair schedules to avoid disconnecting electricity supply during External Independent Testing,’ noted DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
Scheduled repairs help ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of power infrastructure. Residential and commercial buildings are disconnected from power supply when the repairs are carried out. This is exactly why the company has changed its repair schedules so they do not overlap with EIT days and do not cause inconveniences to students.
According to a time table provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the 2020 EIT will be held in several stages: from 25 June until 17 July and from 24 July until 10 August. Almost 380 thousand young Ukrainian will take EIT tests this year. Almost 32 thousand of them will do this in Dnipropetrovsk Region.
