The Ministry rewarded 43 energy workers of the DTEK Grids that have been repairing grids’ infrastructure, destroyed by russian invaders, and restoring electricity to the residents of Kyiv and Donetsk regions.

In particular, 9 energy workers of the DTEK Grids received badges "Excellence in energy industry of Ukraine": 2 employees of DTEK Donetsk Grids, 2 employees of DTEK Kyiv Grids and 5 specialists of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

Another 34 energy workers of the company received certificates of honor. 11 certificates were awarded to the employees of DTEK Donetsk Grids, 7 – to DTEK Kyiv Grids and 16 – to DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

“For selfless actions in the performance of emergency and restoration activities and establishing the work of the public life support facilities during hostilities due to russian invasion of Ukraine,” – states the Order of the Ministry of Energy about the awards.

In particular, on May 18, DTEK Grids specialists have completed repair of the company’s grids in the Kyiv region and restored electricity to more than 260,000 families in just 45 days instead of the planned 60.

Additionally, energy workers continue a selfless fight for electricity in the Donetsk region, where hostilities destroy infrastructure of the grids every day. Since the beginning of the large-scale russian invasion, energy workers have already restored electricity to more than 1.3 mln families in the region. Since February 24, we had to restore electricity to many consumers on 5 and more occasions.

DTEK electricians jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.
