DTEK energy workers restored service to over 2,700 customers and are restoring the grids at the liberated territories of the Kyiv region
On April 5, DTEK electricians managed to completely or partially restore power to 11 settlements in the Kyiv region, namely, Rudnytske and Lukianivka in the Brovary district, Lychanka, Buzova, Petrushky, Shpytki and Makariv in the Bucha district and Demydiv in the Vyshhorod district. Fierce battles took place in these settlements. Energy workers were allowed to restore damaged grids after expulsion of russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mine clearance of these territories. Service at the previously occupied territories, liberated from russian invaders, was restored to 1,504 homes. Overall, in the course of the past 24 hours, power was restored to 2,725 homes in the Kyiv region.
Let us recall that, DTEK emergency crews have started restoring power to settlements in Kyiv region that were liberated from russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa region and Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region.
Electricians continue inspecting energy equipment and performing restoration activities. Emergency and restoration crews start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories. First, company’s specialists restore 110-35 kV high-voltage grids that supply power to the settlements. Then, they start restoring 10-0.4 kV distribution grids that supply power directly to residential buildings.
On April 6, DTEK energy workers plan to perform power restoration activities in 12 more settlements of Brovary, Bucha and Vyshhorod districts.
The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access damaged sites. DTEK electricians jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.
Residents of 460 settlements in Kyiv region remain without electricity.
Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 42 days in a row in order to promptly restore power supply to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
