DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have eliminated consequences of the hurricane that left residents of the region without electricity on November 12. By 21:00 on Monday, emergency crews managed to completely restore operation of lines and transformer substations. Power has been restored to a total of 77,000 families in 293 settlements of the region.

On November 12, gusty wind in the Dnipropetrovsk region caused massive breaks of power lines due to the fallen trees. Tens of thousands of homes were left without electricity. The most affected by bad weather were Synelnykove, Pavlohrad, Nikopol and Novomoskovsk districts.

By the morning of November 13, energy workers managed to restore power to most of the customers, and by 21:00 – to restore electricity to all homes in the region.

Energy workers restored operation of 1,615 transformer substations and 119 power lines. Electricity has been restored to 77,000 families in 293 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region that were completely or partially de-energized.

DTEK reminds that adverse weather conditions may cause fallen trees and broken wires. Therefore, it urges customers to be careful, follow safety rules and not approach the power lines.
