DTEK energy workers restore service to the areas of the Kyiv and Donetsk regions, liberated from the invaders, where fierce battles are ongoing
Last week (April 4 – 10), DTEK energy workers started active restoration of grids in the areas of Kyiv region, liberated from invaders. Service was partially restored to 36,000 families in 49 towns and villages of the region. Maintenance activities are ongoing in Bucha, Vyshhorod and Brovary districts.
DTEK electricians have energized equipment of the water utility, restored power to the hospital and city council in Irpin, and restored service to the maternity home in Vorzel.
DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists plan further maintenance activities in Vyshhorod, Bucha, Brovary and Ivankiv districts. Based on the preliminary estimate, about 1600 km of region’s grids were damaged due to hostilities. This number will be defined more precisely, as thorough inspection of grids is ongoing.
Energy workers from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv are helping to perform repairs in order to restore service to residents of the Kyiv region as soon as possible.
Energy workers are actively cooperating with the Territorial Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Service is being restored to the areas of the Kyiv region, liberated from the invaders, immediately after mine clearance.
A complicated power supply situation remains in the Donetsk region, where fierce battles are ongoing. DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers are enabled to repair lines after provision of a corresponding work permit by the Armed Forces.
Last week, service was restored to 46,500 residents of the region. Some settlements required restoration of power on multiple occasions due to fierce shelling by the enemy.
DTEK specialists are working non-stop for 47 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
