Energy workers are asking to pay for electricity distribution – otherwise, they will not be able to conduct emergency maintenance

As of April, level of payment for electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk region amounts to 64% of the actual charges. But this is not enough for financial stability of the Distribution System Operator and performance of its primary function – provision of reliable power supply to all residents of the region. Business and residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region are being asked to pay the electricity bills. This will help ensure work of the repair crews and keep light in the homes.

Since the beginning of war, Ukrainian energy workers have not stopped working in order to maintain stable operation of the grids. We continue doing everything within our power to maintain electricity in homes of the residents of the region. In April, enemy artillery shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region became more intense. Over the course of a month, DTEK Dnipro Grids repair crews have restored power to almost 11,000 households that suffered from hostilities. Due to shelling, some homes required restoration of electricity on multiple occasions.

Unfortunately, the level of payment for the distribution service is now 64% of the actual charges. Much of the debt is formed by entrepreneurs. We ask entrepreneurs and legal entities of the region to pay for electricity distribution. This is vital for the company to be able to procure materials and fuel for repair crews, and further promptly restore electricity to homes.

Payment for electricity is now a contribution of all entrepreneurs and residents of the region in support of the entire energy system of the region. This will help overcome difficulties and ensure stable operation of grids in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
