By the end of 2022, DTEK will install over 30,000 smart meters

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids has resumed activities related to smart meters installation in customers’ homes that were suspended due to the war. New meters are multi-zone and help save money on electricity. They are being installed in place of old and obsolete ones. By the end of the year, residents of the Kyiv region will receive a total of 31,254 new modern meters.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids installs two-zone meters within its investment program, approved by the state regulator – NEURC. These meters have a feature of day and night electricity consumption that allows reducing electricity cost significantly*.

DTEK continues to develop grids infrastructure using modern digital technologies in order to provide quality European-level power supply services to Ukrainians. By the end of this year, we will replace over 30,000 old meters. Within the framework of an investment program, we will install them in residential buildings with low accuracy obsolete meters. This work does not require any additional expenditures by the customer,” – informed DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

In order to conduct installation activities, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists very often require access to customer’s apartment or house. That is why, the company asks customers to let the specialists into their premises to replace meters.

Works are conducted by employees, wearing yellow-grey company’s overalls with a company name and logo on it. Electricians are required to present corresponding ID upon customer’s request.
