Eliminating consequences of bad weather: DTEK restored electricity to 22,000 customers in 127 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region
Glaze ice, gusty wind and icing of wires caused emergencies on the lines and de-energization in a number of settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
DTEK Dnipro Grids engaged 36 crews to promptly eliminate emergencies. Yesterday, electricity has been restored to 5,000 families. Since the beginning of bad weather on December 8, energy workers have restored power to 22,000 families in 127 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized.
Emergencies are being eliminated upon detection of new damages. Repair crews have already restored operation of 543 transformer substations and 46 high and medium voltage power lines. Electricity has been restored to 127 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized.
About 3,800 customers in 42 settlements remain without electricity. Energy workers make every effort to restore electricity to homes of the region’s residents.
According to the forecast of the Dnipropetrovsk regional hydrometeorology center, adverse weather conditions will remain in the Dnipropetrovsk region on December 11, therefore, new power outages are possible.
