Eliminating bad weather in the Dnipropetrovsk region: DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 10,000 families

DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue to eliminate power outages caused by bad weather in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Over the course of the day, power has been restored to almost 10,000 families. Currently more than 6,000 homes are without electricity. All resources and special machinery were used to restore power supply as soon as possible.

For six days and counting energy workers are fighting the bad weather that continues to rage in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Despite adverse weather conditions, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to another 10,000 homes yesterday. Since the beginning of bad weather on December 8, energy workers have restored power to a total of 36,000 families.

By Wednesday morning, 6,000 families in 45 settlements in the eastern districts of the region, affected the most by bad weather, remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in Pokrovsk and Mezhova communities.

Energy workers put every effort to energize the grid as soon as possible. More than 100 specialists and 40 items of machinery are engaged in elimination of emergencies.

We are currently working on repair of another 30 power lines and 136 transformer substations. Recovery efforts are ongoing.
