DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 2,300 families after shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region and continue to eliminate consequences of bad weather

Yesterday, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews restored electricity to homes of 2,300 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region, de-energized due to hostilities. Energy workers repair lines and electrical equipment, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES. The works are currently ongoing to eliminate consequences of last night’s bad weather. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents.

On June 4, the enemy again terrorized the Dnipropetrovsk region, striking the regional capital with a missile and attacking south of the region with artillery and kamikaze drones. Russian attacks caused damage to grids’ facilities and de-energized 2,296 families. DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers commenced repairs immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES. Over the course of the day, electricity has been restored to all houses that were de-energized due to enemy shelling.

Electricity restoration activities caused by bad weather last night are now ongoing. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have already restored power to 12,000 families, thus restoring electricity to 13 settlements that were completely or partially de-energized. As of 12:00, 17 lines, 219 transformer substations and 7,000 homes remain without electricity.

Our specialists continue to work 24/7 to repair every de-energized line and restore electricity to customers’ homes as soon as possible. The company engaged 27 emergency crews – 84 specialists and 30 items of machinery. Providing there will be no new outages, all homes are to be energized during the day.
