DTEK restored electricity to more than 32,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions over the course of a week

From July 22 to 28, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO managed to completely or partially restore power to 61 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 32,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. Enemy shelling, missile, drone and air strikes continue. Our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Over the past week, they managed to restore power to homes of 18,800 families in the region, where active hostilities are ongoing.

Dnipropetrovsk region also constantly suffers from consequences of enemy shelling that regularly damages grids and leaves residents of the region without electricity. From July 22 to 28, our specialists managed to repair a number of grid damages here and restore electricity to 13,700 families.

Odesa region continues to suffer from enemy attacks too. Last week, energy workers restored electricity to 21 families here, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.

“Energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 887 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 13.1 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
