In September, DTEK energy workers helped NPC Ukrenergo restore operation of the grids, damaged after enemy shelling in the Donetsk region. This will help make power supply of the entire region more reliable before the heating season. Overall, since the beginning of 2023 DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have already helped their colleagues from NPC Ukrenergo repair lines and power facilities after enemy attacks in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions on 11 occasions. Such cooperation allows to restore power to homes of residents of affected districts more promptly.

Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions continue to be shelled constantly. Both distribution grids and power facilities of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators, and transmission networks of NPC Ukrenergo suffer damage. This leaves thousands of families without electricity. DTEK Grids is a foundation and support for normal life of the country and Ukrainians, including during the war. In order to promptly restore power supply in these regions, DTEK energy workers help their colleagues repair equipment.

Thus, this September, DTEK energy workers in the Donetsk region provided special machinery to their colleagues from NPC Ukrenergo, with the help of which they managed to restore a high-voltage line. A repaired line will help make power supply of the entire region more reliable before winter. Since the beginning of the year, DTEK Donetsk Grids crews inspected NPC Ukrenergo grids after enemy attacks six times and in the event of detection of damages or violations in the operation of the line – eliminated it. Besides, on three occasions, in order to eliminate damage after shelling, company’s specialists helped their colleagues with special machinery: drilling machine, aerial platforms and cranes.

Meanwhile, in May DTEK Dnipro Grids crews in the Dnipropetrovsk region helped their colleagues from NPC Ukrenergo install transformer substations and mount overhead and cable lines. Before that, in March, after an enemy attack on one of the high-voltage substations of NPC Ukrenergo, DTEK crews have been dismantling damaged equipment for 2 days in order for their colleagues to restore operation of the substation as soon as possible.

Despite daily shelling and hostilities in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators continue to both restore their own damaged lines and substations and render help to their colleagues. Since the beginning of 2023, DTEK energy workers helped their colleagues from NPC Ukrenergo repair lines andequipment, damaged by shelling, in these regions on11 occasions. DTEK energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity after shelling for Ukrainians to have an opportunity to contact their relatives and live normal lives, and for business – to work.

Let us remind that in September, DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 262,000 families that were left without power supply due to shelling in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. After each air or artillery attack, specialists of the Distribution System Operators promptly repair the grids once they get permission from the AFU and SES.
