From October 7 to 13, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO managed to completely or partially restore power to 41 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 25,400 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, damaged by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Mostly in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which continues to suffer from consequences of enemy shelling. The south of the region, close to the area of hostilities, suffers the most. From October 7 to 13, our specialists here managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 13,700 families of local residents.

At the same time, the hardest battles are ongoing in the Donetsk region. Enemy artillery shelling, missile, drone and air strikes continue to destroy peaceful towns and villages, demolishing energy equipment in particular. Our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for works performance. Last week, they managed to restore power to homes of 11,700 families of the region, despite all security challenges in the region where active hostilities are ongoing.

“Energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 964 days now, despite constant enemy attacks. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to 14.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
