Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to almost 39,000 households over the course of three days

On December 15-17, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have repaired a number of grids damages, caused by shelling, and restore electricity to residents of 23 settlements, thus restoring power to almost 39,000 households. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the region once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Despite difficult situation in the Donetsk region due to hostilities, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers continue to work. Over the course of three days, specialists of the energy company managed to restore power to homes of residents of 23 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 38,915 households.

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, the enemy continues shelling both along the frontline and in the relative rear.

96 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 298 days in a row and repair equipment and lines immediately, once it becomes possible.

Due to a difficult situation in the energy system, emergency power cutoffs are ongoing in the Donetsk region in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo order. This is a necessary step to stabilize the energy system and prevent new outages. The schedules of stabilization shutdowns are no longer valid. We also urge all customers to consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.
