Despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored electricity to more than 1,000 families in the Donetsk region

On September 12, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to obtain a permit from the military and perform repairs in 8 settlements, thus restoring power to more than a thousand families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers commence restoration activities once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the region in this difficult situation.

Over the course of a day, specialists of the energy company have repaired a number of damaged grids and equipment, completely or partially restoring electricity to homes of residents of 8 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 1,491 families in Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

Despite increased shelling, energy workers managed to work in Avdiivka, Marinka and Toretsk communities yesterday. These communities are located near the buffer zone and are subjected to constant artillery shelling and air assaults. For instance, according to the National Police, Avdiivka and Marinka communities were shelled again yesterday.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. The most difficult directions remain Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Sloviansk. 85 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
