DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists continue to eliminate power outages, caused by bad weather in the Dnipropetrovsk region. On December 14, stormy wind and icy rain caused de-energization of 26 overhead lines and 378 transformer substations. Prompt actions of energy workers already helped energize about a third of them. All resources and special machinery are applied to restore power to all homes as soon as possible.

The most affected by a new wave of bad weather was Synelnykove district (Mezhova, Pokrovsk and Petropavlivka communities), and also Dnipro and Novomoskovsk districts of the region.

By the morning of December 15, more than 8,000 families in the region remain without electricity. 38 settlements, 19 power lines and 178 transformer substations are completely or partially de-energized.

About 100 specialists of DTEK Dnipro Grids and 40 items of machinery are engaged for prompt elimination of emergencies. Works are complicated by glaze ice and difficult access to the sites of damage for machinery. Nevertheless, energy workers are doing everything possible to restore operation of grids and bring the electricity back to every home as soon as possible.

Reminder: adverse weather conditions may cause fallen trees and broken wires. Please be careful, follow safety rules and do not approach the power lines.
