Odesaoblenergo upgrades power grid infrastructure in Ivanivka District
Ivanivka District is one of the oldest districts in Odesa Region. The grids and equipment in small villages and townships were built back in Soviet times and cannot withstand difficult weather conditions and modern loads. A reliable and responsible company, DTEK takes care of its customers and improves the quality of power supply. This year, the company has already repaired 156 supports damaged by bad weather and carried out the overhaul of overhead lines in the villages of Buzynove, Sherove, Tarasivka, Liubotaivka and Balanyny to provide district residents with a reliable power supply. In Sherove, power engineers have repaired a 10/0.4 kV transformer substation. This will ensure a high-quality and reliable power supply for the customers.
‘The changes have already begun. They will be gradual yet consistent. In 2020, we will invest UAH 312 thousand under the repair program to upgrade networks and equipment in Ivanivka District. Until the end of the year, we will still have carried out the repair and maintenance of 100 km of overhead lines, 88 transformer substations, as well as the replacement and alignment of 113 emergency supports,’ said Oleksandr Fomenko, General Director of Odesaoblenergo.
According to Oleksandr Fomenko, in Adamivka village, power engineers will also overhaul a 10/0.4 kV transformer substation and 0.4 kV overhead lines, with the replacement of wires and insulators. This will help improve the power supply of this settlement.
In addition, Odesaoblenergo specialists pay special attention to clearing the routes along the power grids from tree branches, the fall of which often causes emergency outages. It is planned to clear more than 30 km of routes during the year.
