Residents of Kyiv region, who submit monthly energy meter readings in the period from 1st to 3rd day of each month, only pay for actual consumption. If DSO does not receive timely readings, billing is carried out based on the average data, retrieved from two latest subsequently taken meter readings, and is provided to suppliers for billing of customers. Thus, amount in the billing statement may differ from the scope of electric energy, consumed during the past month.

“DTEK strives to become the benchmark for customer focus and implements up-to-date service standards. We regularly remind customers to take meter readings on the last day of each month and report them to the Distribution System Operator within three days. Every customer may choose the most convenient way of readings submission: online customer account, web form on the website, Merezhi Online mobile app, Viber and Telegram chat bot or voice menu for automatic submission of readings. All services are convenient and help each family to save time and submit readings 24/7,” noted Vitaliy Shaida, Head of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

If the customer has a day/night meter, then the readings should be reported separately for day and night. On the meter display, the data is displayed sequentially: the amount of electricity used as a whole and then for the day and night, date, operating time of the device, etc. To take readings, please, wait for the necessary information to appear on the display or press enter to switch data until the needed information appears. The zone display has different indexes for different types of meters. The customers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids have the following ones:

  • For a GAMA type meter, the day zone on the display will be displayed with the 1.5.8.2 index, and the night zone - 1.5.8.1;
  • NiK brand device: day - 1.8.2 or 1.5.8.2, night - 1.8.3 or 1.5.8.1;
  • If you have an NP or MTX meter, then the day zone is A2 or 1.8.2, and the night zone is A1 or 1.8.3;
