Online assistants of DTEK Odesa Grids will help you to submit meter reading on time

DTEK Odesa Grids recommends that customers take their meter reading every month and report it to the distribution system operator within three days of the month following the reporting one. The readings submitted in time allow to form accurate consumption volumes for the calendar month, and the supplier will be able to issue correct invoices.

“DTEK strives to become the benchmark for customer focus and implements high-level service standards. Today we have a positive trend. More and more customers are using our remote communication channels, including online ones. Now, more than 180,000 customers out of a million served by DTEK Odesa Grids use the company’s website. By the way, 112,000 of them are already using the mobile version of the site. Almost 100,000 customers use chatbots on Viber and Telegram and the dynamics are growing every month,” says Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Odesa Grids.

You can report meter readings in any convenient way:

Let us recall that electricity metering is carried out based on meter readings submitted by customers every month. According to the Commercial Accounting Code*, data from meters should be taken and submitted within a period beginning two calendar days before the end of the billing month and ending on the third calendar day of the next billing period (calendar month), in any convenient way.

The distribution system operator sends this data to the supplier to generate electricity bills. If the customer does not report the meter readings on time (within the specified period), then the system operator counts the electricity per the average daily consumption principle. Representatives of the distribution system operator takes readings in customers' homes at least once every six months to check the actual reading on the meters.

* Clause 8.6.3: data from the meters should be taken and submitted within a period beginning two calendar days before the end of the billing month and ending on the third calendar day of the next billing period (calendar month).
