DTEK transforms the business in compliance with the New Strategy 2030, which is based on ESG principles, values and business responsibility for progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN Global Compact. DTEK Donetsk Grids promotes the connection of green generation facilities, develops energy infrastructure and provides free access to it for all customers. Mariupol is the leader in connecting solar power plants to the grid. In 2020 alone, we connected 46 new home solar PV systems there,” says Oleksii Degtiarev, DTEK Donetsk Grids CEO.

DTEK Donetsk Grids highlights that the demand for connecting small-scale generation to the infrastructure of the regional power grids remains high.

There are the top three renewable energy producers at year-end 2020:

  • 46 new home solar power plants in Mariupol, 140 in total;
  • 43 new home solar power plants in Mangush, 84 in total;
  • 34 new home solar power plants in Nikolskoye, 73 in total;

Each prosumer can cover the needs for clean electricity of around 10 households.

* Prosumer is a portmanteau of the words provider and consumer.
