Almost 50 million of investments: DTEK Kyiv Region Grids get the regional energy infrastructure ready for the 2020/2021 autumn-winter period
As a rule, the load on the electrical networks increases in the autumn-winter period. DTEK is a responsible, reliable company, and gets ready for seasonal peak loads in advance. During the year, the company's specialists have been completing lots of works of various level and complexity. These include inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment, cable and overhead lines, as well as major and current repairs.
Since the beginning of the year, the power engineers have already completed the following repairs in order to be ready for the 2020-2021 autumn-winter season:
- Almost 4000 km of power lines;
- Almost 2000 transformer substations;
- 26 high-voltage substations;
- Cleared 3000 km of overhead lines from trees branches;
Power engineers work 24/7, and plan to repair the following by the end of the year:
- 1200 km of power lines;
- 239 transformer substations;
- 18 high-voltage substations;
- Clear more than 1000 km of overhead lines from trees branches;
During quarantine, the company's emergency teams, call center operators, and social media administrators work 24/7 to ensure that lives of DTEK Kyiv Region Grids clients are comfortable and the power supply is uninterrupted.
As previously reported, following the general meeting of shareholders of the company, PJSC Kiyvoblenergo was renamed to PJSC DTEK Kyiv Region Grids. The renaming of the company is part of DTEK's plan to transform Kyvoblenergo into a modern service company.
