Electricity is completely restored to Makariv and Borodianka communities: DTEK continues repairing grids, damaged due to hostilities

On May 6, DTEK emergency and restoration crews have restored power to 1,006 families in the Bucha and Vyshhorod districts of the Kyiv region, left without electricity due to hostilities. Electricity was completely restored to Makariv and Borodianka communities. Company’s electricians continue restoring grids in districts of the region immediately after mine clearance of the areas by Ukrainian military.

On May 6, DTEK emergency crews have restored service to 1,006 homes. Electricity is now completely restored to Romanivka, Zahaltsi and Andriivka in the Bucha district, and to Sloboda Kukharska and Kalinove in the Vyshhorod district. Besides, power restoration was completed in Makariv and Borodianka communities. Electricity restoration activities are ongoing in Hostomel, Irpin and Bucha.

10,800 households in 12 settlements remain without electricity.

On May 7, DTEK energy workers continue performing electricity restoration activities in settlements of Bucha and Vyshhorod districts, including as per requests of consumers, who returned to their homes in the liberated areas.

Energy workers of all DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators rallied to restore everything that was destroyed by the invaders. DTEK energy workers from Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as the city of Kyiv are helping to restore damaged grids in the Kyiv region. Electricians start their work immediately after mine clearance of these territories by the Ukrainian military and after provision of a permit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, required to access damaged sites.

Emergency crews of energy workers are working non-stop for 72 days in a row in order to promptly restore power to settlements in Kyiv region, affected by hostilities.
