“DTEK is a responsible and conscious company that cares about the future of Ukraine and supports talented youth. Since 2020, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids has launched a dual education project for students who have chosen the field of power engineering. The program is already being implemented in partnership with 7 educational institutions. Through this form of study, we help students gain practical skills and a profession in the energy industry. Upon completion of the training, our graduates can, if they wish, continue to work in their specialty in the company. Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity for young people to start a career at DTEK,” says Vitalii Shaida, CEO of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

Dual students gain knowledge per an individual program, under which they spend forty percent of their time in classrooms at the university and dedicate sixty percent of their time to practice their skills in a real enterprise. The company ensures that students have a salary and a benefits package, which includes medical insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, etc.

To date, 11 students who studied under the dual program have completed their studies and became employees of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids. Among them is Dmitry Vichuzhanin.

I started working for the company under the dual program in August 2020. I came to the position of an electrician for the distribution networks operation of the network survey center. Now I have completed my studies and have become part of the DTEK team on a full-time basis. At the beginning of July, I was transferred to the position of a foreman. And now, by my own example, I know that such a program provides not only a great chance to gain valuable experience, but also an opportunity to build your own career,” says Dmitry Vichuzhanin, foreman in the network survey center.

To become a participant of the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids dual training program in the next 2021-2022 school year, a student should be getting an education in a specialty related to energy, be a 3rd - 4th year student in one of the educational institutions that concluded an agreement with the company, and fill out a questionnaire. You can apply for dual education through a group curator at the university. You can find out more information at the DTEK Personnel Training and Development Center Kyiv Regional Grids, on the following numbers: + 380672610383, +380950414879.

All selected students will sign up a fixed-term employment contracts for a time of their studies. After training, they will be employed if there are vacant full-time positions. They will get all social benefits and conditions stipulated by the Collective Agreement of the enterprise. Each student will have a professional mentor and a schedule and training program agreed with the educational institution.
