DTEK energy workers performance in April: electricity for more than half a million families and opening of Customer Service Centers

In April, DTEK energy workers began major work related to restoration of power in the Kyiv region, liberated from the invaders on April 2, and continued repairing grids, damaged by shelling, in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Over the course of a month, electricity was restored to more than half a million homes that suffered from hostilities in the Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Additionally, 19 Customer Service Centers have reopened and started personal reception of customers.

In April, DTEK electricians have restored power to more than 522,000 families, left without electricity due to shelling in the Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In particular, electricity was restored to homes of 226,000 families in the Kyiv region. Company’s specialists have restored DTEK’s grids in Brovary district and most of the Vyshhorod district. Energy workers foster all efforts to restore power to all residents of the Kyiv region by June 1. All energy workers of the DTEK Grids have united – 13 repair crews from Odessa region, 4 repair crews from Dnipropetrovsk region and 8 crews from the city of Kyiv help restore grids in the Kyiv region.

Last month, DTEK electricians have restored power to important social infrastructure facilities and local authorities: maternity hospital in Vorzel, hospitals and water utilities in Brovary, Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel, Ivankiv and Zahaltsi. Electricity was also restored to the fire station in Bucha, gas distribution point in Ploske and communication center in Makariv.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists continue processing specific customer requests and restoring constant power circuits in these districts.

Military activities in the Donetsk region have aggravated in April – regular shelling causes damage of grids infrastructure. Last month, DTEK electricians have restored electricity to 261,000 residents of the region in 329 settlements. Some homes required electricity restoration on multiple occasions due to active shelling. 233 settlements of the Donetsk region remain without electricity. Energy workers will restore power to these settlements as soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine permit safe work performance.

In the end of April, enemy shelling has aggravated in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well. In particular, energy workers had to repair grids, damaged by enemy missiles in the Kryvyi Rih district, to restore service to more than 10,000 families.

At the same time, the government gradually restores what was destroyed by the invaders in order to return the country back to normal. DTEK also helps the government by resuming operation of Customer Service Centers, thus enabling fast and convenient provision of all company’s services to our customers. 19 Customer Service Centers resumed operation in April: 2 – in Kyiv, 8 – in Kyiv region, 5 – in Dnipropetrovsk region and 4 – in Odessa region.

They are available for customers from 9:00 to 17:00 Monday through Friday. Appropriate adjustment of the working schedule will depend on the curfew enforced in the region.
