On August 7, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to 8 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 8,000 families of residents of the frontline Donetsk region. Energy workers commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance.

Yesterday, despite the difficult situation, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to 8 settlements, affected by constant hostilities in the region, thus restoring power to 8,579 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult due to active fighting. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 18 times yesterday. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region is ongoing and continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 897 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
