What will happen if you fail to submit electricity readings in time, – explains DTEK Dnipro Grids

Every month, DTEK Dnipro Grids asks customers to submit electricity meter readings during the last 2 days of the current month and before the 3-rd day of the next one. This is required for us to determine the volume of electricity, actually consumed by you, and for the providers to bill the correct sum.
What will happen if you fail to submit electricity readings in time, – explains DTEK Dnipro Grids

DTEK Dnipro Grids calculates the electricity that you have consumed in one calendar month, therefore it accepts meter readings two days before the end of the current month and during the first 3 days of the next one. After that date, data is forwarded to the providers, and they, in turn, generate the bill.

If meter readings are submitted on 4th day of the month or later, then the law requires us to calculate the data in accordance with the average daily consumption during the similar period of the previous year. For example, you provide readings on December 5, 2023. Then, DTEK Dnipro Grids will have a volume of actually consumed electricity from December 1 to 5, while the volume from December 6 to 31 will be calculated based on the electricity consumed in December 2022.

In order to avoid discrepancies in billing and receive bills for the actually consumed electricity only, do not forget to submit readings in time.
