The Occupational Health and Environmental Safety System at DTEK Kyiv Grids Meets the Global Standards. Audited

Special attention is paid to the occupational health and environmental safety at DTEK Kyiv Grids. As a consequence, they fully conform to modern international requirements set out in ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards. This is evidenced by the results of the inspection (compliance audit), which was carried out by the auditors of “MC Consulting” company in the capital’s energy company.

As part of the audit, the auditors visited the business units of the company and studied their work. The occupational health and environmental safety system operation has been analyzed during the year passed following the receipt of international certificates. As a result, it was confirmed that everything fully complies with the standards. Whereof the corresponding report was submitted.

We are fully aware of our social responsibility, we systematically care for the preservation of the environment and occupational safety at the enterprise. And the conclusions of the auditors is a case in point,” – said Maris Kunickis, CEO of DTEK Kyiv Grids.

During the audit, the auditors noted improvements that have taken place at the enterprise during the year. In the field of environmental management, a ban on the purchase of fluorescent (mercury vapor) lamps, the installation of special platforms for stork nests and the arrangement of new special sites for storing oil-containing equipment were considered as positive.

Positive feedback was received as regard to online testing of drivers for their knowledge of traffic rules, driving style evaluation system – Eco Driving, the installation of auxiliary mirrors on cars and unification of granting authorization for performing operative reconnections using electric equipment of the company’s grid.
