Rough weather once again: DTEK Donetsk Grids restores services to 14 settlements

Severe weather is hitting Donetsk Region again. On July 6, the weather deteriorated sharply, which entailed disruptions to 14 settlements. 17 power lines and 236 transformer substations were de-energized. DTEK Donetsk Grids is making every effort to resume power supply to the affected areas as quickly as possible.

Now DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers are working to restore the service to the following villages:

  • Malinovka, Ohorodne, Portovske, Chervone, Rybatske, Gluboke, Zakharyevka, Starodubovka in the Mariupol District;
  • Zelenaya Niva, Iskra, Voskresenka, Alexandrovhrad in the Volnovakha District;
  • Piskunovka in the Kramatorsk District;
  • Pavlovka in the Pokrovsky District;

“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, takes care of its customers and makes every effort to ensure that their homes always have lights on and comfort. We engaged 92 repair teams and 68 pieces of equipment in emergency recovery work. The company's energy workers are doing their best to restore the power supply to the affected settlements as soon as possible,” says Oleksiy Degtyarev, CEO of DTEK Donetsk Grids.

Also, due to thunderstorms, rainstorms, and strong winds, 15 transformer substations in the Levoberezhny District of Mariupol were de-energized. Now the energy workers are repairing the damages. Emergency recovery work is scheduled to be completed today.

  • In case of strong wind, you should not be near power lines;
  • Do not approach broken wires closer than 8-12 meters and in no case touch it;
  • If you see wires that have fallen to the ground, broken or sagging wires, open doors and hatches of electrical installations, as well as damaged poles, please, notify our call center at (0629) 450 473, (093/096/099) 4500473, or sent a message through our Facebook;
