Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, have restored power to residents of 5 settlements in the frontline Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to almost 1,500 families. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs immediately once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On January 18, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to repair a number of grids damages and completely or partially restore electricity to 5 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 1,465 families in the Donetsk region.

Fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Defense Forces units have repelled enemy attacks near 13 settlements in the Donetsk region yesterday.

The situation in the region remains very difficult. 94 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
