Restoring electricity: DTEK restored power to more than 5,000 families in the Donetsk region
On May 11, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored power to 7 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 5,118 families in Pokrovsk, Volnovakha, Kramatorsk and, most of all, Bakhmut districts.
Active hostilities are underway in the region. 263 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where constant shelling causes damage of electrical equipment and power transmission lines. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repairs.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 78 days in a row and are doing everything possible in order to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.
