Restored electricity: over the course of a week, DTEK has restored power to 118,000 households in 121 settlements of the Donetsk region

During the week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to repair equipment and lines in 121 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 118,270 families in the Donetsk region.

For example, yesterday specialists of the energy company have completed repairs in 5 settlements and restored electricity to 16,213 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts. Energy workers had to repair grids and poles, destroyed by enemy air strikes. The majority of restorations were in the Kramatorsk district.

Residents of 318 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka.

Due to active hostilities, the situation in the region remains very difficult, especially in the north, increasing the risk of power outages, caused by damage to the grids or shutdown of some energy enterprises. It also leads to even larger damage to electrical equipment and power lines. Company’s specialists have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 117 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to restore electricity to homes of region’s residents.
