Emergency teams of DTEK Dnipro Grids have been working on fixing the aftermath of a weather disaster that hit Dnipro on August 11 night. As of 11 am of Wednesday, operation of five damaged power lines has been restored. Around 1,400 of Dnipro dwellers have already got the light back in their homes.

The city’s central part has suffered the most. The stormy wind and heavy shower with hail led to flooding, falling of many trees and breakdown of eight power transmission lines. Two power line towers have collapsed on Vykonkomivska street. The electric engineers have been working the whole night to mitigate the aftermath and bring the light back to the Dnipro dwellers’ homes.

Currently, the emergency teams are working on Vykonkomivska street, as well as Straokozatska and other streets of the city. There are five mass requests being dealt with regarding losses of power due to damages to the lines. Around 300 subscribers are still remaining without power. Nine teams are engaged in the aftermath response – 25 specialists and 12 vehicles.

The electric engineers exert all effort to restore all the damaged lines double-time and bring the light back to the homes of people who have suffered from the disaster. DTEK Dnipro Grids serves the interest of Ukraine, shares the society’s values and realizes that availability of constant and uninterrupted power supply is essential for comfort and safety of the people of Dnipro and the Region.
