DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists restored electricity in 220 settlements of the region de-energized due to poor weather
Vyshgorodsky, Ivankovsky and Zgurovsky Districts suffered the most from the strong weather. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids field service teams worked overtime to mitigate the consequences of bad weather and restore the operation of network sections cut off by fallen trees as quickly as possible. The power engineers engaged additional maintenance and operational teams, and worked day and night until the power supply is fully restored.
“DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids acts in the interests of Ukraine, shares the values of community, and understands that availability of continuous and uninterrupted power supply is a foundation of the region residents’ safety and comfort. We involved 79 teams to remedy the accidents consequences, including 277 company specialists and 104 units of equipment. Now four settlements in Zgurovsky District, affected by bad weather, remain de-energized. The teams are already working, and are giving their best to return the light to the homes of our clients as soon as possible,” says Vitaliy Shaida, CEO of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
Tips in case of potential mass blackouts due to poor weather are as follows: information about emergency shutdowns can be found on the website in the section "No electricity?" If you found your address there, the power engineers already know about the shutdown, and are busy restoring the power supply. There is no need to duplicate requests by calling the call center. In addition, information about the disconnection can be found using the mobile application Grids Online or through messages on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Facebook page.
As previously reported, following the company shareholders general meeting, Kyivoblenergo PJSC was renamed to DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids PJSC. The company renaming is part of DTEK's plan to transform Kyvoblenergo into a modern service company.
