DTEK Kyiv Grids has begun to use a new IT solution, namely, the Mobile Teams software package. This mobile application made it possible to remove needless paperwork, and to efficiently plan tasks for 133 repair teams of Kyiv power engineers. Through the application, the power engineers can perform repairs of the grids 15% faster, which means they can reduce the time when Kyiv residents are without light during emergency outages.

The core purpose of Mobile Teams is to optimize repair operations and, as an effect, to quickly restore power supply for customers. This app made it possible to optimize the worktime of repair teams and other production units of DTEK Kyiv Grids. It removed unnecessary paperwork, helped to more efficiently plan travel routes, and take repairs planning and reporting online. As a result, repairs are carried out faster, and the Kyiv residents get high quality service.

The energy company specialists estimated that every repair team saves an hour of their working time every day by using the Mobile Teams. This time is used to do repairs, and not to fill out reporting logs.

Through the new IT solution, our employees can eliminate accidents 15% faster on average. There is no need for paper permits and approvals. There is no need for repair teams to call a dispatcher once again. They just need to record the start of work and its completion in the mobile app,” says Denis Bondar, Acting Director General of DTEK Kyiv Grids.

The mobile application and IT system were created by the DTEK digital technologies expert center in close cooperation with SAP, the global leader in software solutions for business.

DTEK is a reliable and responsible company that improves power supply and service for its customers to the highest standard. Online monitoring and planning systems are the way followed by all technology service companies in Europe today. We first launched this innovative project in Kyiv at DTEK Grids, and we plan to scale it up in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Odesa and Donetsk Regions in future,” says Ivan Geliukh, DTEK Grids Director General.
