For one day (February 21), Ukrenergo will cancel limitations of electricity consumption in the Kyiv region
In accordance with the “Ukrenergo” dispatcher’s instruction, there will be no stabilization or emergency shutdowns in the region during the test day.
In order to determine electricity consumption limits for each region of Ukraine, including Kyiv region, in accordance with the real demand, NPC Ukrenergo will conduct control measurements. Electricity consumption limits for the regions, including Kyiv region, will be adjusted based on these data.
However, NPC Ukrenergo grids are damaged by shelling and cannot provide 100% of required electricity in some energy centers. In order to prevent overload and emergencies, the company may limit power supply in parts of Bucha, Fastiv and Obukhiv districts of the Kyiv region. If required, such limitations will take place in accordance with stabilization schedules.
If you experience a power outage on February 21, please check the shutdowns status on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website – it may be caused by a local emergency or the shutdown is in accordance with the schedule for the districts, where the grid is weakened due to russia’s attacks.
If this information is missing on the website, please inform us about power outage via convenient remote services. The fastest way is to send us a private message on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Facebook page. Another way is to file an application in the section “No electricity?” on the company’s website. You can also file an application via a call center, though it may take more time due to a large number of calls.
Energy workers are working 24/7 and doing everything possible to provide electricity to every home. Only together and with joint efforts will we be able to endure and overcome these dark times!
