In 2020 DTEK Dnipro Grids connected 887 new prosumers to its grids

DTEK Dnipro Grids remains the leader in connecting solar power plants to power grids in Ukraine. Over the first seven months of 2020, the company connected 887 new prosumers*. There are about 3,500 households in Dnipropetrovsk Region that produce green energy, and not only support their own needs, but also sell it.

According to the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving in Ukraine, DTEK Dnipro Grids leads in the number of installed home solar power plants in Ukraine.

“DTEK acts in the interests of Ukraine, and ensures free access to electrical infrastructure for all clients. The number of home solar power plants in our region doubles almost every year. Since the beginning of 2020, we have already connected 887 private solar system to the company’s grids. Their combined capacity is more than 52,800 kW⋅h” — says Andrey Tereshchuk, DTEK Dnipro Grids Director General.

Novomoskovsk District has the largest amount of the green energy producers (557). The top five leaders in connecting the home solar power plants to DTEK Dnipro Grids include Nikopol District (464), Kryvyi Rih (392), Apostolove District (316), and Dnipro District (312). On average, each prosumer can give green energy to up to 10 households.
