As of the first half of 2020, DTEK Odesa Grids connected 126 new private solar power plants to its grids. In total, about 1,100 households in Odesa Region produce green energy. They are not only supporting their own needs, but they sell it as well.

Demand for connecting home solar power plants is growing every year. DTEK serves the interests of Ukraine, and provides free access to the power grid infrastructure for all clients. In the first half of 2020, we connected 126 prosumers in Odesa Region, and 73 more of home solar power plants will be connected soon,” says Aleksandr Fomenko, DTEK Odesa Grids Director General.

As of August 1, 2020 Odesa Region had 1,103 prosumers connected. This is almost twice as much as last year - 519 private solar power plants.

Most of the green energy producers are in Ovidiopol District (154). Odesa (130), Limansky District (117), Belyaevsky District (92), and Izmail (89) are in the top five.
