In July 2022, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids has restored electricity to more than 300,000 residents of the Kyiv region, temporarily left without power due to bad weather or emergencies. Since the beginning of war, the company never stopped working. It continues to maintain proper condition of the region’s grid and prepare it to the peak load season.

In July, there were 753 power outages on the grid in the Kyiv region. They were caused by bad weather with strong wind gusts and rain that was damaging grids, equipment wear and process violations (overloads, actions of third parties, etc.).

“DTEK is a reliable partner of the community. Last month, DTEK employees have restored electricity to 384,756 families. Energy workers had to eliminate consequences of bad weather and emergencies on the grids. Our specialists are doing everything possible to provide electricity to homes of region’s residents,” – told DTEK representative.

The company notes that DTEK specialists are preparing the grids to the autumn-winter period: eliminating detected defects on equipment and clearing power lines from green spaces. It will allow reinforcing the grids and, thus, reduce number of power outages that leave Ukrainians without electricity for an undefined period.
