DTEK Dnipro Grids is running a large-scale reconstruction of power grids in residential areas of Kryvyi Rih. A new cable line (6 kV) was laid in the Saksagansky District, which made it possible to ensure more stable and reliable power supply to residents of Khartsyzskaya Street and neighboring Volodymyr Velykyi, Diderot, Dubka, Kachalov Streets. Most works have been carried out since July 15th and is now at the final stage.

The technical condition of the cable line entailed such a need to do the reconstruction on Khartsyzskaya Street. The service life of this line is almost over. It was laid in 1982, had a significant amount of damages and could no longer provide an adequate level of power supply. Therefore, it was decided to completely replace it. As a result, 2,000 customers will receive a reliable power grid.

DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests and takes care of its customers, consistently transforming the energy infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih. Now we are carrying out renovations in the Saksagan District. 2.8 km of new reliable XLPE cable was laid in trenches under the ground on Khartsyzskaya Street, which will provide uninterrupted power supply to this area of the city. And these are 180 residential buildings, a school, a kindergarten, and hospital №4. After the work completion, the asphalt pavement will be fully restored on 5 sections of the cable route, which were damaged because of earthworks, and the territory will be landscaped,” says Andrii Tereshchuk, General Director at DTEK Dnipro Grids.

All landscaping works are planned to be completed by August 15th. Also, the reconstruction of the power grid in the Central District of Kryvyi Rih has already begun.

In total, the company will invest over UAH 76 million in the renewal of the city's energy infrastructure this year. More than 10 km of cable and overhead lines have already been reconstructed in the Saksaganskiy, Ternovskiy and Central-city Districts of Kryvyi Rih. By the end of the year, there are plans to upgrade another 29 km of lines. As well as obsolete equipment in 10 transformer substations. Such modernization will meet the growing needs of citizens for the high-quality electricity supply and provide them with a reliable and modern source of electricity.

Works are carried out only on weekdays. DTEK Dnipro Grids urges residents to be receptive to the need for such a network upgrade and the associated inconveniences. After all, such work is an urgent need, which will ensure uninterrupted power supply and power supply for customers in the future.

You can find out the exact work schedule on the company's website.

As previously reported, in 2021, DTEK Dnipro Grids will invest over UAH 1 billion in the region's electrical infrastructure.
