DTEK to upgrade the networks for more than 1,000 detached houses in Kulebovka area of Novomoskovsk
The overhaul will be carried out within Kulebovska, Yurchenko, Maliutina, Volgohradska, Manuilka, Krainaya streets, as well as Kyivskyy, Povstanchesky lanes and neighboring streets. The need for such works is dictated by outmoded energy infrastructure of this residential microdistrict. The overhead lines were built there in the middle of previous century.
“DTEK services the Ukraine’s interest and takes care of their customers. We consistently transform the energy infrastructure of Novomoskovsk. We will invest more than UAH 4.2 mln into this project on the Kulebovka networks upgrade. This program is covered in the repair company program for 2021. Upon completion, 1,128 customers living in the detached house suburb will now have the present-day powerful networks,” says Andrei Tereschiuk, CEO at DTEK Dnipro Grids.
The renewed power lines are made of aerial bundled cable (ABC) with bigger cross section. It is safe, enduring, and more resistant to adverse impact of environment (rainfalls, snow, sun, wind, tree branches).
Apart from the new cable, it is planned to replace 140 reinforced concrete and wood poles.
DTEK Dnipro Grids notifies the residents that there might be power interruptions between 9AM and 7PM during workdays in the upcoming month at the overhaul time. These interruptions are needed to ensure the work safety. To minimize the inconvenience for the residents of Kulebovka, the company divided the area of work into sections, which will be disconnected one at a time. They also provided the possibility of power supply from other sources for the time of work. You can find out the exact schedule of work on the company's website.
As previously reported, in 2021, DTEK Dnipro Grids will invest more than UAH 1 billion in the electric infrastructure of the region. In June, the company completed the overhaul of a 2.5-kilometer overhead line of 0.4 kV in the city of Pereshchepino in the Novomoskovsk District. The energy workers replaced the outdated electrical cables with aerial bundled ones and installed new poles. This will improve the quality of electricity supply in more than 50 houses and reduce the number of emergency outages.
