Power is restored to more than 5,000 families: DTEK restored electricity to 13 settlements

On May 14, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to perform restoration activities in 13 settlements of the Donetsk region that suffered from hostilities, thus restoring electricity to homes of more than 5,000 families. Energy Company continues to perform emergency and restoration activities as soon as it becomes possible.

Hostilities and massive shelling of settlements are underway in the Donetsk region. Nevertheless, yesterday DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore service to homes of residents of 13 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 5,744 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts.

Residents of 261 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Lyman, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka, where active hostilities frequently damage electrical equipment and power transmission lines. Company’s specialists are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to perform repairs.
