Restoring electricity: over the course of a week electricity was restored to more than 400,000 families in the Donetsk region

June 6 through 12, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore power to the residents of almost 300 settlements in the Donetsk region. Some of them required power restoration on multiple occasions due to constant shelling. Electricity was restored to more than 400,000 customers.

Last week, service was restored to homes of 439,937 families in 263 settlements of the Donetsk region. The majority of blackouts are caused by the damage of NPC Ukrenergo equipment and lines due to hostilities, leading to the loss of electricity in the north of the Donetsk region. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists together with the NPC have restored electricity to more than 300,000 customers in the north of the region for the time of equipment repair.

Moreover, yesterday specialists of the energy company have repaired equipment and lines in 6 settlements and restored electricity to 20,894 families in Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk districts. The majority – in the latter.

335 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commence repairs.
