How is available electricity distributed among all consumers of the Dnipropetrovsk region, – DTEK Dnipro Grids explains

When electricity shortage is registered in the energy system, NPC Ukrenergo, which is aware of the energy consumption level of the country, distributes the available volume of electricity among all regional distribution system operators. The DSO, in its turn, fairly and evenly redistributes available electricity to consumers in turn. For that purpose, DTEK Dnipro Grids creates schedules of stabilization shutdowns, which consider all customers of the region
How is available electricity distributed among all consumers of the Dnipropetrovsk region, – DTEK Dnipro Grids explains

The available volume of electricity, provided by NPC Ukrenergo, is distributed among absolutely all consumers of the region. These are household consumers, enterprises and various businesses, critical infrastructure facilities. DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers make every effort to evenly provide electricity from the available volume to all customers and, at the same time, implement command of “Ukrenergo” to reduce level of electricity consumption – this is critical for avoiding massive emergencies in the energy system due to the imbalance of electricity production and consumption.

Dnipropetrovsk region is a region with high level of large industry development. Nearly 57% of all available electricity in our region goes to the critical infrastructure, which cannot be limited (hospitals, pump stations, boiler houses, etc.), and large enterprises that ensure economic and energy security of the country. The list of critical facilities is approved by local authorities. The company distributes the other 43% among households (multi-apartment and private houses), business and social institutions. For instance, population consumes 24% of the overall volume of electricity.

DTEK Dnipro Grids fairly distributes available volume of electricity consumption among customers and makes a schedule that ensures provision of electricity to everyone in turn. The only exception is consumers connected to critical facilities.

Let us remind that all up-to-date information about outages and schedules is available in the company’s Viber and Telegram chatbot and on our website in the "No electricity" section.
