In 10 months, DTEK High Voltage Grids invested more than UAH 67 million in the development of the energy infrastructure of Donetsk Region

DTEK High Voltage Grids is upgrading the grids and energy infrastructure of the region. For 10 months, the power company invested UAH 67.7 million in the power supply system. Reconstruction of high voltage transmission lines, modernization of substations, re-equipment and replacement of switching equipment – such measures are essential for the high quality, and failure-free power supply.

“DTEK serves the Ukraine’s interests, ensures the power supply reliability and the comfort of customers. We invest in the upgrade of the region infrastructure every year. In 2020, the total volume of the investment program is UAH 107 million. Our main goal is reliable, failure-free power supply to consumers. Therefore, we pay special attention to technical re-equipment and introduction of modern technologies," - says Oleksii Degtyarev, DTEK Donetsk Grids CEO.

These days DTEK High Voltage Grids is completing the 2020 main projects, such as construction of the 110 kV overhead line "YuDV - Ugledar" and the section of the 35 kV line "Annivka - Zolotyi Kolodiaz". Reconstruction of old and worn lines will significantly improve the power supply of Ugledar, Novotroitske, pumping stations of the South Donbass water pipeline that provide water to the south of Donetsk Region, enterprises and residents of the Dobropolsky District. The total cost of these projects is UAH 36.3 million.

To enhance the reliability of power grids, the power engineers reconstructed 17.7 km of power transmission lines, installed more than 50 units of new equipment: transformers, disconnectors, overvoltage limiters, operating current cabinets.

Also, the company spent UAH 11 million to purchase modern IT equipment, and to upgrade special vehicles and equipment.

By the end of 2020, DTEK High Voltage Grids will invest another UAH 40 million in the modernization and development of high-voltage power transmission networks in the region.
